Wonderful compresses September 3, 2010 Rita (Texas) These are wonderful compresses! The best! My husband and I both use them and they are large enough to cover a big area and do a good job of icing an injury. We keep 6 of them in the freezer. I don't know what we would do without them. Highly recommend!
Very good product September 1, 2010 C. J. (in PA) I bought one of these and another smaller as I just have had a knee replacement. Icing is crucial to help healing and pain, and the large ACE is really great, I bought 2 extra 3 days later and just now ordered another to have spares for the rest of my Phys. Therapy duration.
I like the fact that you can put them right on the skin, they do stay pliable after freezing and the size is great for the area on the knee. I have used them for 2 1/2 weeks now and had no problems with leakage.
They freeze really fast ( within 30 to 45 min.) and last for up to 30 minutes, just perfect for what I need.
These will also be nice to have on hand for other aches and pains as they crop up after I'm done with my rehab for my knee replacement.
For this they are perfect!
My aching back! August 27, 2010 Steven A. Peterson (Hershey, PA (Born in Kewanee, IL)) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have used smaller versions of this product in the past and have been pretty satisfied. Since an ice storm a couple years ago, where I had to chop branches into smaller pieces and then haul them to the street, I have had aches and pains in my rotator cuffs (left worse than right).
Normally, there is only minor discomfort, but sometimes the shoulder really bothers me. I have a one-two response--iboprofen and cold compresses. I throw in Ben-Gay or some equivalent patch if it really gets painful.
The large cold compress really does help. It covers more area than my old regular size Ace cold compresses. It is part of a process that gets me through the bad spells and leaves me pretty much back to normal.
So, I'm pretty happy with this large sized cold compress.
Best Cold Pack Ever August 22, 2010 MichelleinFynance (Southern California) I had a knee injury and had to apply these compresses day and night for months. Because they are soft, they mold and conform to the body part they are applied to. Unlike most cold packs, they were not too cold and did not require a towel be wrapped around them. They also stayed cold for several hours and did not "sweat." Excellent, Excellent product.
Works better than other "ice packs" August 2, 2010 D. Howe (Cleveland, OH USA) This "ice pack" works better at cooling down affected areas than other products I have tried. I couldn't find it in stores though, so I had to buy it on Amazon. My wife has used this product for years, and so I bought three more so we could both ice down sore joints at the same time. (We're both runners, and now we don't have to fight over the "good" ice pack!)
