Makes great hot water, but can't figure out how to mount it. August 31, 2010 Mike Jones (Boston, MA) The lawyers at Camp Chef make the customer service people say to mount the unit to brick, cinderblock or concrete. Does anyone have any other suggestions? I think that I can put this on thick plywood with some sort of heat shield, like a couple of pieces of sheet metal. Maybe some kind of corrugated sandwich of metals.
I'd appreciate anyone's ideas.
Thanks,
George
triton water heater shower combo August 13, 2010 Pete 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I picked up my new triton (water heater camp shower combo)yesterday and after using it i can honestly give it 5 stars , it works awesome . the only snag i had is that i had to go to a hardware store and purchase the proper fitting for a gardenhose hook up, the did supply a fitting that was supposed to work but it had the wrong threads to fit a standard us gardenhose, it was only a couple of bucks and the performance of the heater is so good it overshadows this easy to fix problem. Amazon did a great job of shipping promptly actually i got it faster then i thought it would arrive.

this product functions exactly as advertised. it's easy to use and a hot shower on a cold mountain, can't be beat!
perfect outdoor shower July 30, 2010 john 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Excellent product. Use it for an outside hot water shower for after swimming and just to enjoy the fresh air while showering in the summer. Works instantly, just hook up a hose and propane tank and that's it. My 5 year old can turn it on by himself(obviously supervised) and it only operates when water is flowing. Can not tell you how many people I have recommended this to.
I was very close to having a professional connect hot water outside so I could finally have hot water, this product saved me hundreds and has the same results!
Also, I have used this for around 40 showers and the propane tank almost seems to be full!
Poor performance and hot and cold showers July 27, 2010 Camp Trailhead 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this product for my summer cabin in the mountains. It works, but the hot water keeps shutting off and coming back on. I believe it is necessary to have a water pump to pressurize the line, but even on the lower water flow settings it does not deliver constant hot water. I am not a happy camper and feel as thought I have wasted a couple hundred bucks on this device.
