I was a long time fan of Advil. My husband got a sample of Aleve for me to try and it was just as good for fever/pain/inflammation with one advantage, it lasts longer. I only have to take it every 8 to 12 hours rather than 6 to 8 hours. Within half an hour of taking it, I am pain free.
Just make sure to take Aleve with food to minimize stomach upset. I once neglected to do that, since I normally have a stomach of steel. Although I could do that with Advil, with Aleve, I ended up with diarrhea all night. My stomach was steel, but not my intestines apparently. Taking it with food prevents all that.
Taking Aleve with food does not prevent ulcer formation. Do not take this if you suffer from ulcers, if you are going in for surgery, if you have a bleeding disorder or are on blood thinners.

UPDATE: The tablets are much easier to swallow than the gel caps. Those gel caps are huge!

UPDATE: This listing is for the easy open caps, which I don't recommend if you have children. Those easy caps are great for those who live with arthritis, though.
