Fast pain relief August 29, 2010

My wife has severe arthritis in her knees and is in pain almost constantly. A neighbor told her about Biofreeze and she bought a small container from a chiropractor. The relief was instantaneous. I logged into Amazon and found several suppliers with various prices and selected the one best for us. The 16 oz spray is almost empty and I went to the supplier which has a store near us. They charge $13 more than what I pay Amazon to have them send it to us. To summarize: Biofreeze is excellent and Amazon is great.

I have used the roll-on and the jell and there is no question on how great of a product biofreeze is. The only reason I am leaving this is this spray form is not healthy and may not even be safe. It spreads in the air and you can feel it in your breath, eyes and nose!! I have no idea the manufacturer have not taken that BIG safety point into account. Take my advice and stay with the jell and roll-on forms. THIS IS A BIG RISK, especially if you use it in closed areas and small bathrooms or even worse, if you use it longer term, get used to it and don't feel the danger!!!

I have used the roll on for a couple of years. This spray on has a couple of issues.
While it does make your aching muscles feel somewhat better, due to the icy cold sensation, it isn't nearly as strong as the squeeze tube or roll on. I think this sprayed on coating is too thin. This product is mixed with something (water?) so it's fluid enough to easily spray. And, it has a watered down feeling. Plus, if you buy this, be prepared to close your eyes and hold your breath while sraying. (Really!) The spray causes an unavoidable mist that lingers. This mist burns the eyes and nasal passages. Not very pleasant. Since I now own this huge bottle, I will use it. But, for me, I close my eyes and hold my breath..then spray it on in a small bathroom. Then, I QUICKLY exit the small bathroom and close the door behind me so the mist won't burn my eyes and nose. (NOW, EXHALE & BREATHE) It's a descent product but do yourself a BIG favor and stick to the roll on or tube type BioFreeze.

I have severe neuropathy in my feet due to a back injury. BioFreeze is the best topical pain reliever I have tried. I use it mostly at bedtime but I also use it during the day if I wear uncomfortable shoes. I would highly recommend this product.
