Product Description As a Registered Dental Hygienist, this is the same model night guard I wear and recommend to my patients! Excessive grinding and clenching of the teeth can be extremely damaging. Premature failure of dental restorations, breakage of teeth and gum line recession are common problems associated with the grinding/clenching habit known as bruxism. In our dental practice we make custom fitted guards that sell for hundreds of dollars but we offer these as an alternative when cost is a concern. After trying dozens of OTC (over the counter) mouth guard models these have proven to be the best fitting most comfortable day/night brux/clench/grind guard. These will double as a sports mouth guard but are intended to be used as a protective device for people who grind and clench their teeth and are wanting a better more comfortable fit than a sports mouth guard can offer.

Upper lip sticks out; lips don't close February 27, 2010 integrity8 (CA) Being a procrastinator, I took 3 months to finally go through the motions of reading the directions, boiling the water, and trying to fit the small guard in my mouth. I look truly ridiculous with this in my mouth. As others have mentioned, the front part is very thick and pushes upper lip out, so my lips don't close when the guard is in my mouth. I have nothing to compare this to, but I feel that this guard is sooo thick that it's going to mess up my teeth an give me an overbite.
Don't Waste Your Money February 22, 2010 Steven F. Thompson (Phoenix, AZ) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Don't waste your money. This product is nothing more than a simple mouth guard that you can get at any sporting goods store for $10 of less.
Very bulky feel in the mouth. I struggled through 4 restless nights of sleep before I finally gave up on it. In the instructions it says that it may take 2 weeks to get used to the product, but I feel that is a little unreasonable. I am not convinced that I would be any happier with the product after two weeks of use.
Saved me a lot of money when compared to what the dentist was trying to sell me February 3, 2010 Giving Back (Denver, CO) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My dentist wanted me to buy a $350 custom mouth guard from him. Rather than shell out that kind of cash I gave this one a try. I didn't think I would be able to sleep with it, but I haven't had a problem at all. They give you two in the box. I made both. The smaller one felt more comfortable so I've been using that for the past few months. I can feel there are some wear spots, but I haven't grinded through it yet at all. And if/when that happens I plan on trying the 2nd mouth guard which also seemed like it felt okay.
All in all this is a good product and I'm glad I didn't shell out more $$ than necessary.
Protected Teeth January 28, 2010 Shauna G (Here, There, and Everywhere) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this for my husband when he started to grind his teeth like crazy in his sleep. Compared to other similar products, this one is the best. I love that it comes with two to ensure the best/most comfortable fit. I'll also note that it was very easy to fit to his mouth.
Another nice feature is that the red case stands out on the nightstand, which is a good reminder before bed that it needs to be put in. It does take awhile to get used to wearing the guard if you haven't worn one before, but that is probably the case with all night guards. There is still some tooth/jaw soreness in the morning, but it's great knowing that his teeth are still protected. There are no more horrid grinding sounds coming from his mouth anymore. The only reason for four stars instead of five is the price. However, this was worth buying, even if it is a tad more expensive than other night guards out there.
Was skeptical but very pleased January 1, 2010 Philip Rubin (So. Florida) I didn't believe a $20 product could be a good substitute for a $300 one, but I was wrong. My only caveat is that the smaller guard is much more comfortable than the larger one. I've used both and had no problem getting used to them. The instructions were good and I got the bite right the first time on both guards. Kudos to an excellent company.
