I was familiar with Biofreeze from when my daughter played lacrosse and had muscle pains - it was recommended by the trainer. Expensive to buy, but this was a great deal. The stuff really works. Goes on like aloe vera gel, but dries without being sticky. It does have a menthol smell, but not annoyingly so. Reaches the pain deeply - I used it for rotator cuff inflammation and found that the relief lasted much longer than expected. A good value!

I bought this product based on prior experience years ago when I was having muscle pain. My doctor had given me a lot of samples when I was in need.
I have Fibromyalgia, which is characterized by wide spread pain among other things. The pain can be very debilitating and I do take prescription medications to help, but I recently thought to ask for samples again to take care of my flares. My doctor was out of them at that time but told me it was now available OTC. My local pharmacy did not have the BioFreeze, but I did find it here on Amazon. I could have bought a smaller amount, but I liked the idea of a pump so I bought the 32oz BioFreeze with Ilex Pain Relieving Gel. I'm not so sure that the Ilex was in the original BioFreeze, but that was not a concern to me when I purchased it.
The price of the BioFreeze was very reasonable. I had horror visions of it costing above my budget, but it was well within it. I like that BioFreeze has only the cold sensation and when using it, it rubs in quickly. As expected, it has a menthol type smell that can be offensive, but I have become used to it.
It is not a good idea to put the BioFreeze everywhere you might be painful. I found this out the hard way and one night I thought I would never get warm enough to go to sleep.
Maybe I was expecting a miracle gel when purchasing the BioFreeze, so I hesitate to write negatives. For me personally, BioFreeze does not meet my needs. For my husband, he uses it for minor muscle pain in his shoulders and he is satisfied.

The product is great, works very well and the price was good.
Shipping was a bit slow so allow plenty of time before you run
out of product to reorder. I have not ordered this product
before so maybe shipping time just seemed slow to me.

Nothing I have used works better. I was so disappointed after running out of my long-term supply to discover I could no longer get this on a store shelf. Thank goodness for Amazon.
