wonderful moist heat June 9, 2010

I purchase this heating pad because I had a painful ache in my hip. I read the reviews, and since we don't live close to a large drug store, I decided to order it. I heated it up, laid it on my hip at bedtime, and went to sleep with it on my leg. It held it's heat long enough for me to fall asleep and it felt wonderful on my hip.

I read many of the reviews for this product and they were very positive. I agree; this is a very good product. It is reasonably priced and very easy to use. And the moist heat is very helpful for a back problem. It is easy to heat up in the microwave and you do not have to worry about plugging it in.

If you want moist, hot heat don't look anywhere else! I love this pad, it's easy to warm up in the microwave and it a nice size to put on your back, shoulder or anywhere you need warm moist heat! What's great about this pad it's so portable, I need it for my lower back and I just tuck it inside my pants and travel around the house. Try that with those cheap plug in pads!!!!!

We had tried a number of heating pads, and all required a supplemental moisture source. When I read the description to these pads my first reaction was "Yeah, right!". However, I read the reviews, and I thought I'd give them a try.
We are very pleased with the performance and ease of use of these pads, and they do offer most heat as promised. I would say they are equivalent (if smaller) to the professional heating pads used by therapists without the associated cost. While I can't yet comment on the longevity of the product, we have used them fairly regularly for over a month, and they do not show signs of wear or impending failure.
I highly recommend this product for the heat portion alone, and indeed that is all I can do as we have not used them for cold applications.
