Worth it! March 2, 2010 "L" (USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This product works. I have tried them all - pills, creams, promises. Nothing gave relief like LMX. I was considering surgery. Thank the Lord for this product. Just this and ibrophen and life is back to normal.
5% is the way to go.
Great for having your blood drawn! February 16, 2010 A. Brown (USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this product because needles really freak me out. I hate feeling them being stuck in my skin. I applied the cream to the bend of my arm an hour before going to have my blood drawn. After the hour past, the area I applied the cream to was completely numb. I had my blood drawn and I didn't feel a thing. I also had the phlebotomist use a butterfly needle. The cream and the small needle helped to make the experience much less horrible than my previous phlebotomy experiences.
great numbing cream for shots and blood draws! February 11, 2010 Mary Brown (Georgia, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I was unsure how well this product would work for the purpose of numbing during blood draws and shots but was very plesantly surprised! This product is great and gets you completely numb within about 30 to 45 mins. I am a fainter and can't stand any sort of needles so products like this are a life saver and especially for little kids who really dislike shots as well. great for anyone who needs it for numbing purposes.
Very powerful. Very effective. October 25, 2009 D. Fax (Bowie MD) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I have been blessed with many moles (Seborrheic Keratosis) on my body and finally decided to have a dermatologist remove them via electrocautery. Anyone who knows about this procedure, where the the doctor uses a metal probe to shoot an electrical current directly on the mole, knows that there is pain and considerable discomfort involved. The doctor told me about LMX 4% but others told me it was ineffective. When I looked online, I saw this LMX 5% cream and bought it. It is a blessing. I mark the area of my body to be treated and one hour before the procedure, I rub a layer of the cream in and then apply a second coating/layer. It is important NOT to rub this second coating in; just let it sit on the skin. After application, I put plastic wrap on top and keep it there until the doctor takes it off to begin treatment.
It is a laborious process but this cream is fantastic at significantly numbing the skin. In fact, on occasions when the doctor strays from the treated area and zaps a mole that I failed to cover with LMX5, I really feel the sting.
I wish it weren't so expensive but I'm glad it is available. It will take close to a year for me to complete all my treatments, but I won't take a treatment without prepping with this cream.
Laser Haiir removal May 1, 2009 Lisa Lou (NC) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I've used before my laser hair removal sessions and was generally pleased with the anesthetic effect that resulted. Of course, everyone must be careful not to overuse lidocaine products..
